As the Colleges of Pharmacy and Dental colleges are appliable for high school students in the Korean SAT called Sunueng(수능)in 2022, The trends of college entrances are facing a change. The students needed to study for two years in university and take the PEET test as an entrance test to become a pharmacist, which people called the 2+4 transfer system.

But since when the test started this year, the application of the pharmacy college has been changed. The students must study for six years in college for a job. And the general acceptance rate is skyrocketed to be around 44:1 in 37 colleges as an early decision this year, which is much higher than the rate of other top colleges.

In the wake of the ever-growing popularity of pharmacy college for high school students, The fairness of the application system has been becoming a political issue. According to the notice about the new admissions in pharmacy colleges in Seoul, 345 of 662 new applicants are only for women(around 52%), which means that male high school students have to deal with more competitive college admissions than females. And some people are saying that this is against the Korean constitution law.

Article 11 of the Korean Constitution states that "all citizens shall be equal before the law, and there shall be no discrimination in matters of political, economic, social, or cultural life based on gender, religion, or social status."
