Eva Furrer은 Roman Haubenstock-Ramati이 그의 곡 'Morendo'에서 기획했지만 실행하지 않았던, 전자 음향에 맞는 베이스 플룻의 파트를 Bernhard Lang에게 위촉합니다. 그렇게 탄생한 곡이 'Morendo-double/echo'입니다.

마디별로 시간이 적혀 있습니다만 이것은 플룻 진행이 전자 음향의 진행을 따라가는 것을 돕는 역할을 합니다. 생각해 보면 전자음악의 발달이 기보법에 지대한 변화를 주도록 돕지 않았나 싶습니다.


아래는 작곡가의 곡에 대한 설명입니다.

When Eva Furrer came to me with the order to compose the missing flute part of Roman Haubenstock-Ramati's 'Morendo', I was at first helpless. Too great was the respect for the great composer, who had also influenced me significantly with his Mobile-Concept.

He had told Eva Furrer about the plan of this flute voice, but left no sketches, so there was only this analogue tape with the electronic part of the piece, without any score.

I heard the tape again and again, wanted to cancel the order already, when I suddenly heard the flute voice in the electronics. The problem of the composition turned into one of a possible transcription.

I got a Russian wav-to-midi program, which automated the transcription process, i.e. I could now translate the tape directly into a score. Now I had to orchestrate the result only for bass flute, and the problem was resolved: I had not composed a single sound myself.
