I loved it once it got into the quick part. I didn\'t like the slow beginning though, but yes she has lovely style and Im sure she\'ll only get better :)

ITA, I downloaded the program yesterday and although I already loved her last season, I was :eek at how much she evolved in terms of expression and interpretation.
(어제 프로그램을 다운로드받아 봤는데.. 비록 연아의 작년시즌을 매우 좋아하긴 했지만, 그녀가 표현과 해석에 있어 얼마나 많이 진화 했는지 알 수 있었어)
And not just that, she also pushes the technical part with 3-3\'s, great spins and wonderful spirals. I hope we will see lots of her in the future, she has so much potential :)

I HATE the way the music was cut --- it makes it too repititious --- if they had just kept it intact I think it would have been a better music selection -- I was so distracted by the music cuts that I hardly paid any attention to the skating..... :o

This girl is so good. And the funny thing is I don\'t think she knows how good she is. She just has this look at the end of her programs like "okay...that\'s over now...when\'s dinner?"

All her jump entrances are difficult and interesting. Her jumps rotate very nicely in the air. Her double axel landing was great, it\'d be even better if she\'d hold the edge a little longer.

Also, I looked at the score sheet thingy that\'s more specific about the elements and it looked like all the girls at that comp. did triple flip/double toe and a solo triple lutze in the short. I don\'t know doing if this jump layout would get different scores then doing a triple lutz/double toe and a solo triple flip but I wonder if will start seeing a change in the jump layouts of shorts with the new COP.

I think she has a lot of potential as a skater and really loved her jumps and spins. Unfortunately, though her moves are sharp and "artistic", I don\'t feel the true involvement of every bit of her soul into what she does. The moves and poses she strikes are good and strong, but she doesn\'t seem to be doing them with full conviction.

I loved the choice of music, but hated the cuts. If done correctly, this music can take a mediocre skater to greatness and a great skater to perfection, IMO. This cut didn\'t do it, though. It was choppy, repetitious and almost destructed. I\'d have liked a bit more red in the outfit...but that\'s just my personal taste :b

Choreography was intricate and clearly worked out to do well under COP, but I didn\'t like many parts of it. A lot of tango influence that ended up just looking like arm flapping. Less would have been more here.

Both layouts are worth the same.

3F+2T, 3Lz = 12.8 = ((5.5 + 1.3) + 6.0)
3Lz+2T, 3F = 12.8 = ((6.0 + 1.3) + 5.5)

I think the different layout has to do with the lutz being the required SP solo jump for the Juniors, thereby eliminating the possibilty of a lutz combination.

As for jump layouts changing, senior skaters who have a solid 3T+3T could really take advantage of the new rules to get a leg up over the 3Lz+2T, 3F skaters.
(점프구성이 바뀌면서, 3T+3T뛰던 시니어스케이터들이 3Lz+2T, 3F 스케이터들보다 더 우위에 서게 되었네.. 이 새로운 룰에 의해서 말이야)
A program with:

3T+3T, 3Lz = (4.0 + 4.0) + 6.0 = 14.0

is worth 1.2 points more than the standard 3Lz+2T, 3F, despite not having a flip.
(3T+3T, 3Lz 의 구성이 3Lz+2T, 3F보다 1.2포인트 더 받어.. 플립이 없는데두 말이야 )
If Michelle can get the 3T+3T down, she can take advantage of this without having to learn a harder 3-3.

anyhow, VERY nice skating by Yu Na. I actually sort of like her over Mao Asada. I love her poses, but she just has to feel it more I think. But she\'s much more impressive to me than some other junior skaters

ESPN/ESPN 2 should have worked 2005 World Juniors into their mix for previous events leading up to the start of the new Grande Prix season. Mao will be seen on American television soon.YuNa won\'t be seen by most here for a longtime.I hate to see so much history being ignored. I\'d surely love to see this young warrior in action and some of our other ISU junior players.

Wow! :eek This is the first time I\'ve seen Yu-na skate, and I\'m impressed. I was expecting a junior performance, but she could compete with the seniors with this. But impressive as she was, Yu-na just doesn\'t have the same sparkle as Mao. There\'s just something missing in her skating... it certainly wasn\'t the spiral though. That was gorgeous!

From what I saw a few programs from Mao and Yu-na (last JWC) and this clip both of them are head and shoulder above the rest junior field, really. Is she eligible for Senior competetion yet? The same age as Mao or one year younger?

I wonder if those awful music cuts were the fault of an inexperienced editor. If I were the Korean federation, I\'d get the best coach, choreographers, and music editors for this girl because she\'s arguably the best skater from Korea yet.

She could skate in Senior grand prix if she wanted, but whomever decides these things figured it would be best for Yu-na to skate in Juniors once more--perhaps to get more exposure without Mao there to win.

I really think in the future, barring injury, it will be between these two. For now I\'m rooting for Mao. :) But Yu-na is certainly a treat to watch.

Actually, I didn\'t clarify it enough. For this year, the required solo jump out of footwork is a double OR triple lutz. I think the Junior SP double or triple jump out of footwork cycles between loop, flip, and lutz each year, much like how the Pairs require a different lift and death spiral each year.

Last year it was the loop and that\'s why Bebe declined Jr. Worlds seeing how she didn\'t have her loop back yet. Since it\'s the lutz this year, I think Bebe should go to Jr. Worlds if she is assigned....but HOPEFULLY she\'ll make the Olympic and World team!!! If Yu-Na\'s improvement between now and next March matches her improvement since last March and Mao progresses and matures at a similar rate then skating TV fans are getting cheated big time. Kim gets zero TV coverage in the USA and we might see Asada in the GP if ESPN has time. I remember Susanne Poykio actually came in 1st in the free skate at the 2004 Skate America but her skate was not broadcast.

I also agree about ESPN. They say they are commited to growing the fanbase? Then why are we seeing the same events over and over and over with abbrevated coverage,rather than seeing a wider variety of events with broader event coverage? At some point I know Jenna McCorkell has done well enough at an otherwise American televised event to be shown.I also know that I\'m not the only American fan who is interested in British figure skating.They totally ignored 2005 World Juniors where Mao and YuNa rocked.

I don\'t think 60 minute broadcasts on Sundays of JGPs is too much to ask for considering how lame much of ESPN and ESPN 2\'s usual Sunday afternoon stuff is.Compared to live poker,endless boring NFL and NBA talk,JGPs would be like a breath of fresh air.

What the rules have done really, is made Jr worlds much tougher. It used to be that a girl coudn\'t place at jr worlds without 2 different triples. Now it\'s all 3/3s, 3axels, and 4sals. Scarey. The technical content of Juniors is much higher than seniors right now for the ladies.

(사실 룰이 지금까지 한건, 주니어 월드를 훨씬 더 어려운 경기로 만들었다는거지. 과거엔 2가지 다른 트리플 없이 주니어 월드에 나올수 없는 수준이었는데.. 지금은 3s, 3axels, and 4sals..가 필요해. 완죤 무섭지.. 지금 주니어의 기술요소는 현재 시니어들이 겪었던 거 보다 훨씬 더 높아)
