We are pleased to announce the beginning of a new season of “World War” mode, with which naval forces will enter the battlefield with all their might!

New armies and game mechanics, changes in the award system including awards for squadron commanders, and many other quality improvements are waiting for you in this season.

From the 28th of January till the 11th of February - participate in the “Attack from the Sea” season of World War mode over a period of 8 days

SCHEDULE OF THE OPERATIONS

Scenarios

Battle of Luzon (Japan - USA)

This new scenario involves naval forces. Occurring on the 22nd of December 1941, US troops in the Philippines pose a serious threat to the advancement of Japanese troops to the South, and that’s why the seizure of the Luzon island is important to the Japanese forces’ plans to gain dominance in South-East Asia.

Kerch–Eltigen operation  (USSR - Germany)

This new scenario involves naval forces. Occurring on the 31st of October 1943, Soviet forces prepared the largest landing operation on the Eastern Front to liberate the city, the port of Kerch, and the port of Kamysh Burun, and create a springboard for the further liberation of the Crimean peninsula from German invaders.

Battle for Caen (Britain — Germany)

Occurring on the 26th of June 1944. One of the main targets for the allies in operation Overlord was the capture of the city of Caen as well as the nearby Carpiquet airfield.

Nordwind (USA — Germany)

Occurring on the 1st of January 1945. Despite significant losses in the Ardennes, German command expected to break through the allies’ defensive line via an unexpected counterattack in the Vosges and on the Alsace plain.

Awards for all players

All players are able to unlock the following awards by earning “World War” Stars ⭐.

BA-11 (USSR, premium, rank I)

One of the most successful Soviet armoured vehicles, partially superior in armouring even for some tanks of similar year. The 45mm K-20 cannon can confidently cope with any potential opponents and the maximum speed of 64 km/h on the road will allow it to be the first to arrive at key positions.

USS Phelps DD-360 (USA, premium, rank III)

A balanced destroyer equipped with five 127 mm main calibre guns and an extensive arsenal to fight any possible targets: torpedoes, depth bombs and bomb mortar. The ship is distinguished by its enhanced anti-aircraft weaponry of 45 and 20 mm auto cannons as well as large-calibre machine guns.

For the first battle of the day (in World War) - World War trophy.

Contains one of the following items:

• 10-30% SL/RP booster
• 10% SL/RP booster for all allies
• Random wager
• Random order
• Modification for one of the vehicles used in the battle
• Talisman for one of the vehicles used in the battle

Tasks for receiving World War Stars

To earn a World War Star ⭐ you need to complete 3 of 5 tasks in World War battles during one game day of the season.

In operations involving the naval forces:

“Battle of Luzon”; “Kerch–Eltigen operation”

• Win 10 battles with an in-game activity of 70% or higher (or 5 as a participating member of a squadron).
• Destroy 30 enemy player-controlled vehicles (or 15 as a participating member of a squadron).
• Deal 15,000 damage while operating a ship (or 7,500 as a participating member of a squadron).
• Play 6 battles and place between 1 and 3 on your team’s scoreboard (or 3 battles as a participating member of a squadron).
• Destroy 10 enemy player-controlled vehicles in one battle (or 5 as a participating member of a squadron).

In operations involving ground forces:

“Nordwind”; “Battle for Caen”

• Win 10 battles with an in-game activity of 70% or higher (or 5 as a participating member of a squadron).
• Destroy 30 enemy player-controlled vehicles (or 15 as a participating member of a squadron).
• Help your allies by destroying enemy player-controlled vehicles 18 times (or 9 as a participating member of a squadron).
• Play 6 battles and place between 1 and 3 on your team’s scoreboard (or 3 battles as a participating member of a squadron).
• Destroy 10 enemy player-controlled vehicles in one battle (or 5 as a participating member of a squadron).

Awards for squadron players

Only squadron members and their commanders will be able to receive these awards.

Soldiers and commanders

The following will be granted based on the squadron’s results on the squadron leaderboard at the end of the season.

• Places 1-3 — Coupon for the USS Phelps DD-360 (USA).
• Places 4-5 — Coupon for the BA-11 (USSR).
• 10 best squadrons — World War season decals (players may use these decals until the beginning of the next World War season).
• 50 best squadrons — Squadron medal: “Attack from the Sea”.

Only commanders

The following will be granted based on the results of the squadron commanders leaderboard at the end of the season.

• Top 10 — Coupon for the USS Phelps DD-360 (USA).
• Place 11-50 — Coupon for the BA-11 (USSR).

Squadron medals

Awards will be given only to the players who have played at least 16 battles in the operation for their squadron. The number of battles played can be viewed in the “World War” tab of your squadron.

Each commander’s action in the operation will achieve 1 activity point for them (but not more than once per minute). At the end of the operation, the squadron will receive a rating score (200 for victory, 40 for defeat, 5 for each winning battle and 1 for each lost one) which will be distributed among the commanders proportionate to their activity.

World War mode for novices

In World War mode, large squadrons can fight against each other in various operations, with each battle potentially bringing them closer to victory. For players who aren't squadron members, World War mode opens many new mission types with special rules and rewards. All players who have achieved rank III are able to participate in World War battles.
