Hi, I'm back again ^_^
I enjoyed this birthday party of Jeong Hoon so much, perhaps you know why :D
Right before going to Seoul, I complained with someone that I had never won any ticket drawing or lottery
in any of Jeong Hoon's event.
So, when JH called out my ticket number, I was shocked!
Come up on the stage?? Playing game with Jeong Hoon?
Am I dreaming??
The birthday party started at 8 o'clock, when the screen started to play a video "New Beginning",
with pictures of JH from childhood.
There were some that I hadn't seen before. They are all so cute :)
I especially like his pics from high school period, with "military" short hair.
Jeong Hoon has already looked handsome since those days.
Then Jeong Hoon came out, singing "Seasons in the Sun"!
(His usual Korean version, not Terry Jacks version.)
Everybody clapped and cheered.
I suddenly felt his warm voice filling the wide hall,
the look of his bright eyes sweeping over the audience.
A feeling that I've experienced many time but still couldn't get enough of ^^
While singing, Jeong Hoon was joined by two MCs.
The female MC is Kim Mi Ryeo ssi, the comedian lady in JH's Voice Mail radio,
you all know her, right?
The other MC, I thought he was the other comedian Cho Hyun Min ssi, but he was not.
He was funny nonetheless.
They talked, and talked, and asked JH questions.
They brought out the birthday cake, JH blew out the candles by his mouth,
not by his nose as usual :D
We didn't get to taste that cake though T_T
(I was hungry! )
These are the videos that I recorded:
JH then sang the song 암연 (Tearful), accompanied by the guitar rhythm of Won Sang Woo ssi
(his producer in UN time?).
I recognized this song from the very first guitar notes.
I went crazy! How I've always been loving this song. And love the melancholy dripping in its verses.
Love Jeong Hoon's voice strolling through its sorrow.
I wanted to drop the camera to fully enjoy this music, but then I remembered my friends
who didn't go to this event and who adore the song as much.
They surely want to hear it.
Here you are:
Then, the indispensable part: ticket drawing.
I thought it wouldn't touch me, so I didn't pay much attention.
A-ticket, then B-ticket, then C-ticket,
then C-ticket again, C-ticket again...
I thought it'd stay with C aisle and wouldn't come back to my A-ticket.
I enjoyed Jeong Hoon's English though.
As there are many overseas fans, he read numbers in English.
He then read my ticket number.
Is it for real??
He called it in Korean, then in English. It can't be a mistake.
My legs started shaking. My heart began drumming like a Turkish march.
I climbed up the stage, silently praying that I wouldn't do anything stupid,
because I was always clumsy in games. And so was I that day.
Please forgive my clumsiness ^^
10 fans were picked to play games with JH on stage.
There were Korean fans, some Japanese, one Chinese and me.
The male MC asked the name and age of each fan.
When he came to each one, he always said:
"Oh you are so beautiful! So cute!
Let's go party" bla bla bla
Then he came to me, he didn't say such things,
he just looked scared, turned away and ran!
As if I was a monster.
How can you treat me like that, what had I done to you?
MC ssi, I'll never forgive that O_O
But then Jeong Hoon came to my rescue.
He called my name and translated it for me when I spoke English.
I supposed the other 9 fans understood Korean?
Me I don't. I feel so sorry for that.
All my Korean studying seemed to go in vain.
While I was standing there, in front of the dazzingly brilliant stage light,
in front of Jeong Hoon,
my Korean vocabulary just vaporized into the thin air.
Jeong Hoon was so caring towards his fans.
He always tried to explain the games for overseas fans.
He spoke Japanese to Japan fans,
then he turned to me: "Are you okay?"
I didn't really understand the game,
and I'd never played it before, but I thought I could guess it,
so I replied "I'm okay. Let's go".
But it turned out I guessed it all wrong :D
After a round of standing up and down,
my team won. I don't even know why :D
We then switched to the "3 words game"
2 people will alternatively speak one syllable of a 3-syllables word,
while looking at each other eyes.
The MC insisted: Stand close to each other!
Look straight at your opponent! So you can feel the tense!
Well, that is exactly the point.
How can I remember anything
when I look straight into Jeong Hoon's eyes from a close distance?
Originally they will play the word "Sa-rang-he",
but Jeong Hoon changed it to "Ba-na-na".
It became more difficult.
"Saranghe" is nice, but "Banana" is confusing.
I look at Jeong Hoon, and forgot even my own name.
I tried to fight myself, but I lost the game just after 10 seconds :D
So I have to come off the stage.
I shook JH's hand, and say "Happy Birthday" to him.
The final winning Chinese fan could hold JH's hand and hear he speak sweet words.
Not the kind of "banana" words, but some kind of "saranghe".
It's totally mesmerizing.
They then had a surprised guest: Jo Yeo Jeong ssi
(the main actress in "I need romance" ).
Fans roared in joy.
Even more than they did when JH came out.
I don't know if Jeong Hoon likes it or not :D
They sang a duet of "Aegyo", the theme song of "I need romance".
You can guess that the MCs started asking about the kiss scenes XDD
Jo Yeo Jeong ssi left.
Jeong Hoon changed to a new jacket, and he sang Korean version of "Hana Ichirin",
his favorite song.
That song almost brought tears to my eyes,
as it reminded me of Nagoya 3rd anniversary party in 2008,
where JH asked us to stay with him even if he was far away.
I will always stay.
Thank you Jeong Hoon, for being kind wiht us.
Thank you for the beautiful songs you sang that day.
I will forever treasure the moment you gently look into my eyes and call my name.
Happy Birthday, and Happy Everyday, my dear ^^
